Bicyclists in South L.A. Ride For Healthier Living

A group of cyclists biked Central Avenue from Watts to Little Tokyo on Tuesday. They had two goals: to bring attention to the potholes and portions of the road that would benefit from bike lanes, and to spotlight the historical and community landmarks on the avenue. "The healthy lifestyle has existed in South L.A. for quite some time," said Tafarai Bayne of TRUST South L.A. "But we haven’t always had the support we need in terms of infrastructure.”

    I Love this! I grew up in LA and walking was unheard of...let alone biking. Yay for this group changing the paradigm!
