Fascinating article. Do you teach younger boys and do you find it to be true that they are becoming less social?

Hi Alessandra, I teach high school and college males. I also mentor boys from grades 5 -12. The majority of the boys I serve are not interested in school and are failing more than one subject. Yes, I feel as though they are less social. Many have poor peer relationships and prefer to communicate via a smartphone or computer. I have definitely seen an increase in the use of aggressive behaviors to resolve disputes with peers and adults.

As a teacher, are there any activities you do to encourage more social/human connections off of smartphones and computers?
