It is a wonderful idea to honor the many teachers that work hard to educate our children. However, The Phoenix is an inappropriate partner considering it is notorious for bilking students out of money and giving them a sub-standard education. These classroom grants are a drop in the bucket compared to what The Phoenix has paid to the government in fines for its shady practices.
This is a tarnish on Good's name. Why not partner with BP or Exxon to give out an environmentalism award next time?
