    The more I learn about Starbucks the more my respect grows. It is true they have a long way to go but the fact they even care says a lot, in my opinion anyways. They are cemented in our society, the money is going to come in regardless of their environmental ethics. I appreciate the fact they are not just sitting back and counting their profits.

      I think Starbucks has a long way to go to truly be considered local, but this new pilot program is a good start. According to this article, these structures will be LEED certified, which means that building materials will be sourced within 500 miles.
