A Vending Machine for Bike Helmets

As more and more cities get bikeshare programs, there's often one thing missing: helmets. A group of MIT product designers came up with a helmet vending machine that can help keep bikeshare-bikers safe. The solar-powered machines each have stacks of helmets that can be inspected and cleaned when they're returned. It could be useful even for people who own helmets, if the stations are convenient enough, since you could avoid the trouble of carrying a bulky helmet around once you're off your bike.
