A Promising Sign that the Indie Bookstore is Here to Stay

Online shopping is here to stay, but there are signs that small brick and mortar businesses are doing just fine—at least when it comes to books. While chains like Borders have shuttered in the wake of Amazon's rise, it looks like people are still happy to pay for the personal experience you can only get from shopping at an independent book store. After all, a good old-fashioned mom & pop shop has a mom and a pop to talk to you about getting lost in the pages of the book you're about to buy....
