A New Site Compares the World's Constitutions

As one of the developers who created this new site says, it's hard enough to write anything, let alone a document that's meant to be a framework for democracy for generations—but every year, new groups are faced with the challenge of writing a constitution. Constitute makes it easy to search the text of other constitutions, from Afghanistan's 2004 document to Japan's from 1946. You can also sort through the data by topic. It's pretty fascinating, even if you're not actually creating government.
