17-Year-Old Campaigns for Women's Rights After Being Harassed

Shalu Shrivastava was 12 years old when she was consistently harassed by a carpenter on her way to school. His persistence drove her to decide to quit school, but her family said the man shouldn’t stop her from going. They sought justice through the school, local government, and finally with Oxfam India’s Empowerment For Rehabilitation Academic and Health which led to the man's arrest. Now 17 years old, Shula has ambitions to campaign for women's rights in Delhi and eventually across India.
