This is SO fascinating to see other countries' perceptions about the safety of our cities. This is funny- not sure if it's true but the warning is ridiculous: Richmond: “Do not visit the city on foot.”. Same goes for this one which accounts for basically the entirety of LA: "France warns tourists to take care in Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Long Beach, and to avoid Watts, Inglewood and Florence." Or this one: Baltimore: “Considered a dangerous city except downtown.” The more we make fear-mongering generalizations like this, the less people are going to try to improve their cities.
