Do It

Write a love letter to a stranger in need, via "More Love Letters."

Kirsten Browning

Day 10: Brighten up someone’s day by writing a letter of kindness to a complete stranger. "The World Needs More Love Letters" is a thoughtful organization that accepts "love letter requests," thereby offering anyone the chance to write a letter to a person who could use the love. For instance, today I chose to write Olivia, whose friend writes, “Last week Olivia’s father randomly and suddenly passed away. With this loss comes a lot of grieving as she is an only child. Her father was an amazing man, not only to Olivia by playing basketball with her constantly and showing her what a real gentleman looks like, but to her mother as a supportive great husband and best friend. Olivia is going into her junior year of college next fall and the future is very uncertain for her and her mother. She and her mother really need uplifting words of encouragement and lots of love to get through this difficult time." Write to Olivia today, too, or check out their list and write someone else!

Hannah Brencher is Amazing and a really sweet human being. I had the pleasure/honor of meeting her when we were both in the TED Talks talent search back in 2012. She is a delight and doing a lot of other wonderful work as well. Let us all reach out to someone, whether through a letter, or a post it note or a bottle of bubbles given or a Free Hug. thanks for sharing part of Hannah's Story

This is so cool! I love the idea of leaving love letters around your community for others to find, too. I'm going to start leaving love letters in Griffith Park on my hikes.

How neat! I should have known you already knew about More Love Letters, Alessandra -- I think I must have heard about them in-passing at some point, but I only just this week ended up investigating. It's definitely an amazing concept, and I applaud Hannah's idea.
