Write a Haiku A Day for 39 Days

Do It

Pictures, they say, are worth 1000 words. Words combined with pictures can capture the imagination. I've been writing a haiku a day for almost 3 weeks. My personal to-do is take a picture & write haiku about the for 1 year. I think it's a great way to capture the moment—at an event, for a cause, in nature or in your life—and look beneath the surface.

There are several forms of haiku, but I wanted to keep it simple. Here are the details:
(1) Must be three lines
(2) Must contain a 5-7-5 syllable structure

Here's an example that I wrote about one of my favorite writing locations:

sacred space in my life
flowing with peace, love and light
warms and grounds my soul
(the picture that inspired this haiku is the thumbnail pic for the is To-Do)

To help, here are a couple of tools I use:
1. Idioms -
2. Haikus - - It's a simple page to make sure you have the 5-7-5
3. # of Syllables -
