One plastic bag on it's own is nothing, but 1000 plastic bags can be turned into something awesome with a bit of creativity and artistic flair. Everyone's talking about crowd sourcing information, crowd funding companies and renting out stuff you don't need all the time. What about crowd sourcing the materials you need to make something amazing, but everyone else has and thinks is trash because they don't have your creative re-purposing ability? This was a project we created as part of a design school project at the National University of Singapore as a way to help promote recycling in the National Housing Development Board housing estates in Singapore. More and more I'm starting to think about it and how it could really work, so I would love to get your feedback on the concept and different applications for it.
