To the Labs! Help NASA Find and Plan for Potential Asteroid Threats

Near-Earth asteroids are the kind that threaten all life. And though NASA has reported cataloging "95 percent of the large asteroids near the Earth's orbit," they are calling on industry, academia and citizen scientists to scour the skies to locate and formulate a plan for all that pose a threat.
The nationwide Grand Challenge encompasses an "all-hands-on-deck-effort," said Tom Kalil, deputy director for technology and innovation at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. It calls on all ideas and data that can better characterize and improve detection of asteroids.
So get to the labs, hit the whiteboards, or plunk your eye down a telescope viewfinder. Your ideas and observations are needed.
