Earlier this month, the European Commission decided to stop sales of a certain type of pesticides, neonicotinoids, after finding strong evidence that the pesticide might not just be killing "pests," but also bees. In the United States, bee populations have reached a 50-year low. The US EPA isn't so sure that pesticides are to blame, so they haven't banned them. But isn't it better to be safe than sorry, especially when the majority of the food we eat depends on bees? Sign this petition to ask major retailers, like Home Depot and Lowe's, to take these pesticides off their shelves.
