Take Time to Sit Quietly in a Natural Setting

Stef McDonald

A peaceful spot in the great outdoors

There is a sign posted from the National Park Service for those staying in the campsites at Yosemite National Park with guidelines about limiting noise from vehicles and electronic devices—and being considerate of others in the park. The last one isn't a rule at all but a beautiful piece of advice: "Find a place in the park that offers only natural sounds, like running water or a light breeze, and sit quietly listening to it for a few minutes."

This is why I've been looking for creative ways to buy remote wilderness properties in northern Canada. Glad to see people value this connection to nature. If anyone wants to join me, get in touch!
