Do It

support the homeless back into work

London, United Kingdom
April 4, 2014at 5:00 pm

The House of St Barnabas is the first not-for-profit members club, located in Soho, London, UK.

It's an innovative and unique model where its membership supports London's homeless back into long-term employment through the charitable employment academy it runs.

This week sees the launch of 'John's Story', a campaign to raise enough funds to see 25 people through their employment academy and into sustained work.

The acclaimed actor Brian Cox has made this lovely film with John Smallshaw, who The House of St Barnabas has already helped turn things around:

They are asking 15,000 people to donate £5 to help raise £75,000.

This is one of my favorite social enterprises. I love how they've given back to their community this way.
