On May 15, 2014, students from the School for the Visual Arts and Humanities in Koreatown, Los Angeles, will display 60 of their artworks in a six-week exhibit at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C. I am writing to you in the hopes that you or your organization might consider sponsoring our students for this project.

One senior student, Erik, who is applying to college this fall, stated that if he was chosen to go, it would be the opportunity of his lifetime. “How many times in our lives have we had a chance to tell high-level people our views? We are experiencing what they are talking about and our voices are the ones that matter most.”

Our students and school would truly appreciate if you would consider sponsoring this project. All donations need to be received by December 22 and are tax deductible (LAUSD Tax ID 956-101193). Thank you so much for your consideration!
