If you have ever heard of the Spartan Race, you probably know it is the worlds leading obstacle race course series. Participants endure 5 Kilometers of challenges including grueling mud crawls, fire jumps, and gladiator pits. What you probably don't know is that for the upcoming Spartan race in New York, a group of young Spartans has donated its run to fundraise for pediatric cancer in developing nations.
Team Soul Glo has joined The Aslan Project to raise $2,000 by 7pm on June 9th. The Aslan Project is an organization that focuses on equipping local caregivers in developing countries with tools and training needed to effectively treat children with cancer locally and sustainably. Many developing nations, where a bulk of health efforts are focused on infectious diseases, have few or no programs and personnel addressing pediatric cancer. This project aims to fill a gap that is greatly needed through sustainable efforts.
