Support At-Risk Youth Fighting to Become Strong Leaders in Vanuatu

Bug Arete

February 15, 2014

The Hwa Rang Do Exchange Program aims to encourage personal development and leadership skills among disadvantaged youth through the discipline of martial arts.

Gaea and Jason, two RPCVs, created a martial arts program at a youth center in Vanuatu's capital called Wan Smol Bag. Now that their time with the Peace Corps has come to an end, they really want these kids to continue their training. WHRDA, the organization that would train three Ni-Vanuatu Youth to teach the classes at Wan Smol Bag, is dedicated to building strong leaders for the future. Gaea, Jason, and the organizations involved want to make this an ongoing exchange creating a sustainable Hwa Rang Do club in Port Vila. "Then we want to use our experience in setting up this program to set up many more exchanges and scholarships to help youth throughout the world discover their potential."

This is where it starts and they need your help.
