Today Is National Coming Out Day. The LGBTQ community and its allies will celebrate, and give out support to those that still haven't come out. As a kid I hid and never came out. I would use boys as a distraction to make it seem like we were dating. My parents never accepted me and I was always alone. Still from this day they don't accept me. Most of the time they just push me away and say I'm a disappointment to them. The way I can relate to this is I was once judged and I support this community.

    I love that this is a national day! No one really tells you that when you come out, you might have to do it over and over again to the people that refuse to listen. So it's nice to know, that at the very least, there is one day a year where I can feel anonymous (and not so anonymous) support.
