One of my recent adventures was a little untraditional, but definitely an adventure for me! Anyone who knows me can tell you I'm a terrible cook. Terrible. The only thing I can really make is guacamole, and that's only because it doesn't require heat! So I was terrified (honored, but terrified) when I was asked to host a pilot cooking show episode.
And you know what? It went great! The main cook, Colleen of Little Lover Events (http://www.littleloverevents.com/) walked me through everything. We made a healthy meal of butternut squash macaroni and cheese, herb roasted chicken, and we even made our own salad dressing for the appetizer salad (this has always been beyond me). I was so proud of the day, and I've made the same recipes over and over again. I even branched out a little to try new kinds of herbs on my chicken! This might not be a big adventure for you home chefs out there, but it was big for me and I'm so glad I took it on.
