What we plan to do is rent plots of land to anyone near by that wants to be a part of our community Garden. For a suggested donation of $1 per sq foot (they a welcomed to give more and if necessary can give less) they get a plot of land to grow as much produce as they want. We will also be offering classes on gardening, spirituality, interfaith, and nature/science as people want (or as people volunteer to offer them on our land). We just want a space where people can utilize our land for good.
With the donated money, half of it will be pooled together to be given to Kiva to buy a micro loan for some woman in a developing country that is also working on farming. When the money comes back I will pay back our customers their half of what ever they donate. The other half will go back into our farm and what we do. Other money will be made through additional selling of our produce. I am currently writing a business plan for these ideas, networking with people to get feed back, and trying to sell our home. Please send prayers and good vibes our way that this all works out
