Do It

Spend 30 minutes to contact loved ones directly instead of surfing Facebook

Korey Johnson

How much time do you spend on Facebook daily? Facebook surfing is often a mindless and superficial way to connect with other people. It makes us feel more connected but are we really? Sure great inspirational stories and heightened awareness of worldly events does sometimes occur on the ole FB, however, it appears that the majority of the time we're simply wasting time. As a result our society is spending less time making direct connections and interactions with the people we care about most and instead we're simply wasting time on the web in virtual worlds like Facebook and Twitter. Let's get back to the roots for a second. Sacrifice 30 minutes of your day that would typically be spent on cruising through your news feed and write a letter or e-mail to a loved one. Phone your friends, visit your grandmother, play a game with your siblings or kids. These alternatives will bring you so much more joy and fulfillment than Facebook ever could.
