Do It

shop secondhand clothing to limit landfill waste, conserve energy and water & promote fair working standards

Secondhand Swaggy

In America

Thousands of sweatshop deaths in Bangladesh and Indonesia have shown that workers are paid way below minimum wage and work forced overtime hours in unsafe buildings just to manufacture clothing for large businesses like Zara, Forever 21, Walmart and Joe Fresh. And mass production of clothing leads to an exhaustion of resources such as cotton, water, and electricity, when we actually have enough clothes to go around already! Finally, getting rid of clothing is terrible for the environment bc most clothes are made with chemicals that are released into the air and water when they are burned. None of this is worth another cheap pair of leggings from the mall! Recycle your clothes to save our environment, resources, energy AND human lives!
