Serve up a heaping helping of love and support for the sick, with Project Angel Food.
Help nourish the body and spirit of men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Project Angel Food is a nonprofit agency that provides free and nutritious meals for men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Since its creation, Angel Food has provided nearly 8 million meals (!) to thousands of people, many of whom are too sick to cook meals themselves. Come help!
As a kitchen volunteer, you'll join a fun-loving group of compassionate people each day to do everything from chopping, stirring, mixing, baking and packaging meals. You don't even need to know how to cook, only how to take direction from Angel Food's chefs! Shifts are available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 - 4: p.m, and they also have one weekend shift on Sunday from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
