Join us for this fun community event where ingenuity, enthusiasm, paper, water, and wind will combine to raise money for a wonderful cause.

The Paper Yacht Challenge is a contest where contestants construct paper boats and race their boats in competitive heats and against the clock. The top three finishers win trophies, but the real winner is the charity that the event sponsors.

This year, there are two beneficiaries for the inaugural event at the Port of LA, the San Pedro & Peninsula and Wilmington YMCA and the Los Angeles Maritime Institute’s (LAMI) TopSail Youth Program.

The event features entertainment, food and beverages (for purchase), and a silent auction.

The race is ON!
