Offset Your Carbon Emissions from Traveling

There are so many great reasons to travel far and wide, but the process of getting from here to way over there is terribly taxing on the environment. The burning of fossil fuels accounts for the largest source of greenhouse gases emissions—and we burn a lot by traveling in cars, buses, trains, and planes. If you cannot limit your carbon emissions, you can offset them by investing in renewable energy and reforestation programs to help curb climate change. It's a good idea for all of us to take steps in our daily lives to and reduce our carbon footprints—to help lesson our overall environmental impact—but when traveling far, you can also purchase carbon credits from reputable and verified providers such as Terrapass and Carbonfund.
