National Pancake Day benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in raising funds to help in the fight to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for LLS patients and families.
This year LLS is hoping to raise over $250,000 through IHOP's National Pancake Day.
More than 60 IHOP restaurants in the DC, MD, and VA area are raising funds in honor of my 6 year old son Asad who is a leukemia survivor and the IHOP Honored Hero. He was diagnosed in June of 2012.
It has been a long journey but we continue to move forward and fight. My son is the biggest trooper and motivates me everyday to keep moving forward. His treatment will continue for another two years but we take each day as it comes.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fund important research to help battle diseases like blood cancers as well as programs that assist families through the journey. They have been awesome to us and we're thankful that we were connected to them.
