Make Music From The Movement of Your Hands with Imogen Heap's Electronic Gloves

Alessandra Rizzotti

Where
Anywhere

As a dancer, my body is more rhythmic than my lips on a trombone or my hands on a ukulele. So, when I came across Imogen Heap's musical gloves on Kickstarter, I saw the possibility of igniting the musical side of my brain again. Although there are other data gloves on the internet, she's forming a community of musicians around this new technology- and it's a passion project. How do you think this changes the game for musicians? For you purists out there, I wonder if you think it's weird? I'm pretty tickled by it. I see lots of potential. I want to rock out using my mobility, open-sourcing music http://www.good.is/video/littlebits-the-new-legos-and-reggie-watts-amazing style, all with the help of her DIY kits. You can support or spread the word about The Gloves Project http://theglovesproject.com/about-the-project/.

That's pretty cool and not at all surprising considering the source! It's like the Nintendo Power Glove only more awesome!
