    Dear Rachel
My crafting daughter Liz is in San Francisco, and I am in SoCal, so we won't be making this together, alas. Maybe my other daughter, Rachael, will swing by. She is not as into crafting, but you never know!.

    • Rachel Huang

That's true! I'm sure Liz and Rachael will give you a great Mother's Day memory anyway :) If I had a sibling probably mom will be happier when I was away. But I will do my best to celebrate it with her. Mailing the tag out TODAY ❤

I am a mom (my kids are grown and my own mom has passed) and I can tell you that I still LOVE getting home made gifts from my children. There is nothing better than a specially crafted gift from the heart. I encourage all of you good people to make these for your moms! (I can count on some sort of hand crafted gift from my daughter)

Kristine, thanks for sharing your thought as a "target" of this initiative! =)

As an international student (now I graduated), I wasn't always able to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom: she's in China and I was studying/working in North America. Unfortunately, this year is one of these years. She couldn't meet me here either, because an inner ear disorder called Meniere's syndrome that made her super sensitive to sounds and the change of air pressure, which leads to absolutely no travel by air.

I'm sure my mom wasn't the only great mom who is away from her kids, who misses them a lot but still supported their decision to pursue a dream somewhere else. So I felt like I have to do something with the resources I have.

This is my story ❤ I'd love to see if your daughter likes doing this for you! Maybe you can print out the files and have a fund gift-making night with her.
