Make a Short Video With Your Neighbors!

Simply knowing your neighbors is the first step in making a huge improvement in your neighborhood. What's it going to take to meet the people who live in our building? We're too independent to even ask them for a cup of sugar; it's going to have to be something bigger. Something one person can't do alone.

Something that's equal parts challenging, rewarding and fun. Something that we all have basic knowledge of, but we've just never put that valuable couch-sitting experience to use.

Something like making a movie.

And just like meeting your neighbors for the first time, it isn't so scary.

Register your block to make a film and learn more at Our call for entries is also a call to bring your neighbors together. It's like a block party, but we're making movies instead of BBQ. All films must be completed and uploaded by Oct 31, 2013, and the 20 finalist films will be screened at the SVA Theater in NYC on Nov11, 2013. Our site has the complete rules
