With one month remaining, On My Block Films is encouraging filmmakers of all levels to submit their neighborhood film for the chance to be screened at a the state-of-the-art SVA Theater by a dynamic judging panel of community and creative leaders and the chance to take home awards.

In a bold effort to begin a global expansion of the program OMB introduces an exciting new category, Non-NYC Films, for films made anywhere in the world outside New York City’s five boroughs. Awards will also be presented for Best Narrative Film, Best Documentary Film and Best In Show.

Film Submissions

There is still time to make your neighborhood’s film! Now though October 31 all eligible films can be shot, edited and submitted to Vimeo where filmmakers and viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite short film; a panel will judge the 40 films with the most votes the first week of November 2013 of which the top 20 films will be entered into the festival.
