We want to do good, but sometimes poverty is such a daunting global problem that we don't know where to put money into for it to make the most effective impact. But not to fret! Affordable, solar energy is proven to quickly improve people's lives, not only for their financial wellbeing but also for their health. From switching to solar, poor people can save money that they've been spending on kerosene for lighting (and it's really expensive, sometimes costing up to 15% of their income). They also don't have to breathe in toxic fumes that kerosene lamps emit.
