We've all had boxed couscous but how many of us have tried couscous made from scratch? In this week's New York Times, Joan Nathan features a husband and wife cooking team that are bringing handmade couscous to Brooklyn hipsters. For those of us who don't live in New York, who haven't been to Morocco, or who don't have a Moroccan grandmother, I'm challenging you to try to make your own couscous. All you need is semolina flour and water. And elbow grease.
