Do It

Help to lessen deforestation by making better use of agricultural (biomass) waste.

Peisy Ting

Palm oil production is a huge industry and every year more than 200+ million tons of agricultural waste is generated annually by it around the globe - for every ton of oil processed 5 tons of waste is created.

While organizations work to educate palm farmers about more sustainable ways to meet demand, I'm just a girl from Malaysia trying to do my part to clean up the industry on the other end by launching a project on Kickstarter: Palm Republik - From Palm Waste to Paper.

Palm Republik is a simple range of paper stationery products like notebooks, journals... etc are made from palm paper which derived from the agricultural waste of palm oil production - a valuable alternative to tree-based paper making it a truly tree-free paper.

However, palm paper is still a fairly new product and I wish to introduce it to the world in order to help to reduce this waste, but my power is limited and I need your help by supporting this project in order to move it to the production stage. Thank you.
