Help MoringaConnect Revolutionize Rural Development on #GivingTuesday

The most simultaneously frustrating and exciting thing about rural development is how little investment is needed to change the story of the smallholder farmer, nearly 1 billion in number living on less than $2/day. When Kwami Williams and I visited the villages in northern and central Ghana, we repeatedly came upon large tracts of fertile, irrigated land and farmers in need of a few hundred dollars of investment per acre to plow and plant, and nutritious or economically valuable crops to supplement the starchy staple crops popular in the region.
We decided to do something about that. In our field work, we came across a plant that does it all- Moringa. Moringa is recognized as “the miracle tree” for its nutritional, healing, and economic value in the tropics and subtropics worldwide. Thus was born MoringaConnect, a venture working to link small farmers to the global market. Help us expand our work here:
