Help 'Death in Venice' project on Kickstarter

'Death in Venice' is an exhibition about death and modern architecture which we will show during the opening week of the Venice Architecture Biennale this year. The campaign will be on until May 15, 2014. We need your support to bring this great project to Venice and here is why:

The theme of death is relevant to us all and where we die is a critical part of that; how and where we die underpin a lot of cultural ideas about what a 'good death' is. In the UK, 3% of people want to die in hospital, but 53% do; almost one in three hospital patients in Scotland will die within a year, and nearly one in 10 will die during their time in hospital. As architects and urban designers, we think that it is important to look critically at our approach to death and the places associated with it, so that we can start to create better spaces for death and dying in the future.

We are still working on the design, but I can say for sure now that we will have two spaces with interactive installations designed by LUST and a more traditional exhibition space with printed stories, graphs and objects. It's still work in progress, but as soon as we can we will make updates to the kickstarter page. We will be posting some previews of the process the coming days!
