Fear often causes black and white thinking. I myself struggle with the mentality that things have to go a certain way or else we'll all crumble and 'oh shit' we should probably not take that risk because damn we'll be doomed. But, when I open myself up, struggling through challenges bit by bit and celebrating small wins, I can learn to appreciate the larger accomplishments.
Here's how you can live in the grey and stop polarized thinking.
1) Take note of every day lessons, big and small. In a journal. Or in your brain.
2) Abandon escapism because it's just a defense mechanism that's keeping your feelings inward.
3) Recognize when you could use some guidance and advice.
We're all trying to be better humans. We can all improve from here. Let's just support each other in that process. Let our guards down.
