    yes! Share Our Strength, the non profit that does the Dine Out campaign, has a lot of programs to help address childhood hunger including free school lunches during the summer, helping families apply for snap benefits, and my all time favorite program "Cooking Matters" which teaches families how to cook the most nutritious food within their budgest and also how to shop for nutritious food and read food labels.

    i wonder if you could evolve the experience beyond a simple donation.
    could restaurants sign up to supply local soup kitchens one week at a time for every group who comes? could they donate school lunches for kids on food stamps for every time you eat there?
