Day 26: Support Equality

March 26, 2013

While this should go without saying, that all individuals deserve equal rights regardless of how they identify with their sex, gender, race, (etc) and overall sense of being, as Prop 8 is currently being challenged within the Supreme Court, once again is the issue of equality being brought into society's conscience. And, while I understand that unlike many of my previous posts, this one takes an overtly political stance, please don't jump to conclusions. I know that I don't have to power to directly change your mind, but I do have the power to inform you and, if I'm lucky enough, to have you take some time and consider where your beliefs come from and why it is that you feel that way. So today, as marriage equality is once again being questioned, if you cannot, in my biased opinion, make the right decision & choose to acknowledge your fellow citizens as equals, humans and, therefore, as deserving of the same rights, think long and hard about why you feel this way & if it is justified.
