Love Potion No. 9
Brainstorm different items that have strong scents. Collect materials from home or the cafeteria, like lemons, coffee, roses, hot sauce, food coloring, etc. Try mixing different natural fragrances in bowls and use trial and error to see what combinations you think are interesting.

Get baby food jars, spray bottles, or other containers to package your potion. Does it look appealing? Try using a strainer to change consistency, or food coloring to make it marketable. Determine your potion’s purpose. Is it for warding off girls or attracting cats? Name your scent, design a label, and create a marketing plan after you’ve determined your target consumer. Have friends or family test your scents and give you feedback to find your best potion.

This is a Brain Food challenge. Brain Food is a children's creative activity deck designed and created by The Right Brain Initiative and AIGA Portland in Portland, OR.

So fun. Anything tactile that involves the senses is a great way to engage kids' creativity. Love the idea of experimenting like this. It's just important to use safe materials and natural items vs. chemicals.
