Do It

Cook a meal for the hungry at your local soup kitchen.

Kirsten Browning

Last week I called up my local food kitchen and asked them if they needed any extra hands in the kitchen. They signed me up straightaway for a shift this Thursday. But while I was there, one of the staff expressed his shock that any one would ever come help out of their own accord. "Usually, people only come if they have to. You know, for a program or something." So, you hear that, folks? Looks like our work is cut out for us. If you've got an afternoon free, consider giving it up to cook lunch for the truly hungry. (Click through the link for a quick "vine" video of some ways you can contribute at the soup kitchen!)
