Commemorate the 1994 Genocide, But Remember There's More to Rwanda Than the Genocide

In 1994, over a span of 100 days, an estimated 800,000 Rwandan men, women and children were killed. Today, ceremonies are taking place around the world to mark the 20th anniversary of the genocide and to remember those lives lost. But there's a lot more to Rwanda than this one event in history. Discover more about the country that has the fastest internet in Africa, boasts the world's largest female legislative representation, and this past year jumped 22 spots to 32/189 on the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business ranking.
