The guerilla crafters of Yarn Bombing Los Angeles are at it again with their largest street intervention to date—Granny Squared, an installation consisting of 12,000 colorful "granny squares" hand-crocheted by participants from around the world covering the facade of the Craft and Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles.

Beyond serving as a community-based project that anyone can contribute to, and anyone walking on the street can enjoy, this project aims to question the boundaries between art and craft, use scale and color to play with artistic, architectural and institutional identities.

See the installation for yourself through July 1st, capture your own images of the work, and tag them with #GRANNYSQUARED to contribute to the documentation of this dynamic project!
