Buy lunch for a WWII vet on an Honor Flight

Jo Jensen

January 7, 2014

How much did you pay for lunch today? If you're like me, you ate out and paid around $10. If I packed my lunch, the money saved could go towards a great cause, and that is what I am going to do. Today I'm donating my lunch to a WWII vet. Who's in?

Thousands of WWII veterans are stuck on waiting lists, hoping they’ll have an opportunity to go on an Honor Flight before it’s too late. Together, we can raise enough funds, one lunch at a time, to fly a plane full of WWII veterans to go on an Honor Flight trip to see their Memorial. From as little as buying a lunch ($10) to purchasing a WWII vet’s airfare ($500), donating whatever you can will go towards honoring these heroes and making their Honor Flight possible.
