I WISH I could! Just not feasible with my commute but a fantastic thing to do!

30 miles each way, in houston? i THINK NOT. (i do ride the bus every day, however).

a rolling party along select routes run by Conductors – experienced urban cyclists – to harness the safety of riding in a group while kicking it up a notch by making the ride a fun social experience. And it’s totally free! This is in Los Angeles.

I've been riding for almost a year to work now (just a short distance 2.0 miles, 4.0 miles roundtrip), on an avenue with no bike path. Initially I had been using the sidewalk as a newbie, but now (in the mornings) I have some more experience and confidence to use my tiny street.
I have not only saved money, and being sedentary at work, biking helps get in my daily fitness!

I ride my bike to work every day. I live just outside of Los Angeles so it can be a bit hairy for the first 3 miles until I get to the bike path. My ride includes 3 miles of awesome bike path and just over 3 miles of bike lane. A total of 9.5 miles each way. I wish the bike lanes were better maintained but I am frankly just happy they are there. My first 3 miles needs a bike lane BADLY. Whittier Boulevard is a major street and its downright scary on the way home. Overall though, I love my commute and am much happier at work when I ride in versus driving in.

Bonus - I've worked out before my workout and thus am already one step ahead of everyone!

Biking has changed the way I feel when I walk into work, and when I come home after a long day. I'm calm, more alert and have gotten my cardio in for the day. I'm thrilled to see this biking movement grow in Chicago!

I rode to work in Chicago often during 2000-2006. I lived up in Rogers Park and worked downtown. The LSD bike path was fun!

Why do they show a picture of a woman NOT wearing a helmet???? It's good to bike, but for lord's sake, be safe!

How about tomorrow? East side bike gang...

We need to make this happen and I'm actually in desperate need for it. As a newcomer to the East Side, I'm really nervous about finding the right route. Blogs and Google are not assuring me this is going to be a smooth ride like my last bike route.
