Do It

Be the showers of hope and generosity that unlock the potential lying dormant in the seeds that are children

From the comfort of your home, on your computer... for Kenya
August 31, 2013

Once I began a daily gratitude practice my life changed. Fear evaporated like water over petals on a hot day, allowing the flower in me to shine in the sunlight. As a result, an opportunity to be of service landed on my lap (ok, my inbox), and I took it. I quit my job and am leaving everything behind to move to Kenya & complete construction of a Children's Rescue Center. I am full of gratitude and feel like the richest woman on earth, even though I'm not sure how I'll pay rent when I get back. I invite you all to come with me, to share in this practice of gratitude and of being a giving spirit.
A scientific study showed that when someone receives a gift certain parts of their brain (I'm thinking the reward centers?) light up, and feel good chemicals are released... but what they ALSO found was that the EXACT SAME thing happens in the brains of the GIVER!
How 'bout some feel good chemicals? Please Join me in gifting hope, love and security to the children of Kisumu, Kenya.
